I have been creating botanical illustrations for nearly 30 years and have only ever used coloured pencil despite originally wanting to master the use of watercolour.
I have exhibited 4 times with the RHS having gained Silver Gilt medals and I was awarded the very first dawn Joliff Bursery from the RHS to further my education in this medium with Ann Swan.
Following a break to have my children, I then taught art in various primary schools and now after a family relocation from the Midlands, I am a member of the Eden Florilegium Society. I have had work accepted into their archive and I am now running workshops for their members and for other societies around the country. I am relatively new to adult teaching but it is something that I thoroughly enjoy as I hope to spread the love for coloured pencil which is all too often dismissed as the crayons from childhood.
