Trees and Water in Watercolour with Judi Trevorrow
Course Description
We will look how trees and water can easily be painted in watercolour. We will look at colours, techniques and how to translate the subject. The workshop will be consistt of demonstrations from start to finish, so if you are a beginner you won’t be lost and if you have some experience you can take as much inspiration as you need and paint more individually.

- Watercolour paper 140lbs cold pressed – something like Langton or Bockingford size to suit. Not too small as it is a day workshop.
- Watercolour round brushes including No 8 and a small rigger, larger soft wetting brush
- 4B pencil
- Kitchen roll
- 2 plastic water containers
- Masking tape
- Plastic rubber
- Watercolour paint to include: Gamboge, Raw sienna, Lemon yellow, Alizarin crimson, Light red, Burnt sienna, Prussian blue or Winsor blue red shade, Ultramarine, Titanium white & Sap green
- Mixing palette
- Permanent White Gouache
- Old toothbrush
- Sponge

Judi Trevorrow is a hugely popular artist for her seascapes, harbour and floral paintings. Living in Cornwall, Judi is constantly inspired by the dramatic light, the surf and sand, the gardens and the myriad of tiny harbours and inlets.
Find Out MoreOur courses usually begin at 10am and end at 4:30pm, with a half an hour lunch break at around 1pm. There will also be brief morning and afternoon breaks, with free tea and coffee available in the kitchen area. At Lunch time you can make things nice and easy by pre-ordering a freshly prepared Coach House Lunch. Alternatively, you’re very welcome to bring along a packed lunch and any other refreshments you like.
On sunny days students and tutors are invited to enjoy breaktimes outside in the leafy courtyard or gardens surrounded by birdsong.
