Drawing in Pastel with Judi Trevorrow
Course Description
Judi Trevorrow is back by popular demand, this time to teach drawing in soft pastels. You will observe a series of demonstrations, which will show a range of techniques in Judi’s distinctive style. Students should leave the day-long course with lots of new skills and a finished pastel drawing.
Professional artist and lecturer Judi Trevorrow has been teaching watercolours and acrylics for over 30 years and has a huge following in Cornwall. This workshop will allow existing students of Judi’s and those new to her, to really be able to immerse themselves in a full day of expert tuition and painting. Judi has a unique style, is well known for being very generous when it comes to sharing her painting skills and is a very supportive teacher.
Course Information
- A good selection of pastels (not oil pastels)
- A large Ingres Pastel Paper pad (or similar)
- Chalk
- Charcoal
- An old towel
- Masking tape
- An apron or old clothes
Provided by Cornwall School of Art if required:

All art materials are available to purchase in the Truro Arts shop, 26 River Street Truro TR1 2SJ, and you will receive a 10% discount on all supplies for the course.

Judi Trevorrow is a hugely popular artist for her seascapes, harbour and floral paintings. Living in Cornwall, Judi is constantly inspired by the dramatic light, the surf and sand, the gardens and the myriad of tiny harbours and inlets.
Find Out MoreOur courses usually begin at 10am and end at 4:30pm, with a half an hour lunch break at around 1pm. There will also be brief morning and afternoon breaks, with free tea and coffee available in the kitchen area. At Lunch time you can make things nice and easy by pre-ordering a freshly prepared Coach House Lunch. Alternatively, you’re very welcome to bring along a packed lunch and any other refreshments you like.
On sunny days students and tutors are invited to enjoy breaktimes outside in the leafy courtyard or gardens surrounded by birdsong.
