Cornish Harbour Scenes in Watercolour with John Hopkins

Course Description
In this day long course John will show how to depict a harbour scene using a quick and loose watercolour technique. He will talk a little about linear and aerial perspective and how to create a good composition. Each student will receive some one-to-one tuition during the day and those who paint at a faster speed can practice new brush techniques and exercises.
John studied illustration at Birmingham College of Art, and has enjoyed a career as a successful freelance artist, working in all mediums, but specialising in watercolour. He prefers to work in a fast, loose, impressionistic style but always with the emphasis on good drawing skills.
